About the game
A dice-rolling spin-off of the beloved Bohnanza card game for 2-5 players, where seven bean dice replace cards as the source of your harvest. On your turn, you roll and reroll dice (setting at least one aside each time) to complete orders on your order card, working from easy combinations at the bottom to tough ones like four-of-a-kind near the top. Opponents can also benefit from your rolls before you lock them in, adding a shared-resource twist absent from the original card game. Completing enough orders lets you harvest coins, and the first to thirteen 'Bohnentalers' wins.
Hobbli's Notes
Würfel Bohnanza cleverly translates Bohnanza's charm into a dice-rolling format, with designer Uwe Rosenberg's knack for elegant, approachable design shining through. The twist that opponents benefit from your rolls before you finalize them adds a nice tension that rewards efficient play. At 45 minutes and very light complexity, it's an easy, family-friendly game with quick turns and low downtime (B grade). A great entry point for Bohnanza fans or families new to bean-trading.
