About the game
Flash Point: Fire Rescue is a cooperative game in which players work together as firefighters racing to rescue victims from a burning building before it collapses. As the fire spreads and causes structural damage, players spend action points extinguishing flames, moving through the building, and carrying victims to safety. A basic and expert ruleset let groups adjust difficulty, and the game includes a double-sided board with additional expansion maps available.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli considers Flash Point one of the best gateway cooperative games, thematic and tense without heavy rules overhead. It's a reliable, exciting choice for introducing new players to cooperative play.
What we like
- Accessible gateway cooperative gameplay.
- Strong 'beat the clock' tension throughout.
- Scalable basic and expert difficulty variants.
- Thematic fire-rescue experience with strong production.
Keep in mind
- The basic game may feel too simple for experienced gamers.
- Fire spread can occasionally snowball into a quick loss.
- Larger groups carry some risk of quarterbacking.
Who it's for
Families and newcomers to cooperative games, ages 8 and up, will enjoy this for two to six players.
