About the game
Set in the fog-shrouded streets of 1888 Whitechapel, this hidden-movement game casts one player as Jack the Ripper, secretly slipping between the district's 199 numbered locations to claim five victims. The remaining players cooperate as detectives, using deduction and area control to close in on the killer before time runs out. Movement along the atmospheric board captures the tension of the historical manhunt. It's a tense, thematic game of memory, deduction, and hidden movement.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team considers Letters from Whitechapel one of the finest hidden-movement games available, capturing genuine dread and detective-thriller tension. The cooperative deduction against a single cunning opponent makes for a uniquely asymmetric and memorable experience.
