About the game
Age of War (also known as Risk Express or Camarades) is a quick dice game of conquest by Reiner Knizia, where fourteen cards laid out at the start each require specific dice symbols to claim. Roll seven dice, pick a card, and use your rolled symbols to conquer its battle lines, re-rolling remaining dice for a chance to claim more before your turn ends. You can even conquer cards already owned by opponents by conquering an extra line, though completing an entire set locks those castles safely away. It's a simple, tense push-your-luck game that wraps up quickly once every card is claimed.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team enjoys Age of War as a lean, satisfying push-your-luck dice game from Reiner Knizia that plays in about half an hour. The decision of when to stop rolling and bank your gains versus risk it all for a bigger card creates real tension every turn. Its simple rules make it an easy teach for a wide range of ages, while still rewarding smart risk assessment. A great light dice game for filling out a game night.
