About the game
In The Red Dragon Inn, you and your fellow adventurers celebrate a successful dungeon raid by drinking, gambling, and roughhousing at a rowdy tavern. Each of the four distinct characters, Deirdre the Priestess, Fiona the Volatile, Gerki the Sneak, and Zot the Wizard, has unique cards and abilities that shape their playstyle. The last player who's both sober enough to stay conscious and shrewd enough to hold onto their gold wins the game. It's a humorous, thematic card game built entirely around managing drink, fatigue, and gold.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team considers this a beloved humor-fantasy classic, with strongly asymmetric characters that make every game feel different depending on who's at the table. The push-your-luck tension of managing drinking and gambling never gets old, and it's easy to see why the series spawned so many expansions and spin-offs. Player elimination means early losers do have to wait out the rest of the game, which is worth knowing going in.
