About the game

Guildhall is a medieval-themed card game about building chapters of professionals and gathering complete sets of guild colors to earn victory points. Each profession type grants a unique special ability that grows stronger as you complete more of that set, but cashing sets in for points strips away those abilities until you rebuild them. Players race to be the first to reach 20 victory points while weighing the tension between holding a strong ability and banking points. It's a tight, card-driven set-collection game with some direct player interaction through Take That effects.

Hobbli's Notes

Guildhall nails a satisfying push-pull between keeping a powerful profession set active versus cashing it in for points; that tension is the heart of the game. It's quick to teach and plays briskly, making it a solid mid-weight filler. The Take That elements add spice but can occasionally feel punishing for the target. Overall a well-designed, underrated set-collection card game.
