About the game

Diamant (also known as Incan Gold) is a quick, tense push-your-luck game where players venture into a mine, turning over cards to reveal gems or hazards. Each round you decide whether to keep exploring for more treasure or retreat to the surface with what you've collected, all while dreading the same hazard appearing twice. Leftover gems and rare artifacts reward those who time their exit just right. It's fast, chaotic fun that plays beautifully with large groups.

Hobbli's Notes

Diamant is a party-shelf staple for a reason: the tension of deciding whether to push your luck one more card is endlessly fun, and it works for basically any group size or gaming experience level. It rarely overstays its welcome.

What we like

  • Extremely fast to teach and play, ideal for large groups.
  • The push-your-luck tension keeps every round exciting.
  • Scales up to 8 players without slowing down.
  • Short playtime makes it easy to fit into any game night.

Keep in mind

  • Outcomes are heavily luck-driven with little strategic control.
  • Simultaneous decisions can create some analysis time with larger groups.
  • Limited long-term depth for gamers wanting strategic complexity.

Who it's for
