About the game

Point Galaxy, from the team behind Point Salad and Point City, is a fast card-drafting game of building sequences among the stars. On your turn, take any two cards from the dynamic market and add them to your growing galaxy, arranging planets in numeric order to form solar systems and collecting suns, asteroids, moons, and more for bonuses. With over 140 unique double-sided cards, every galaxy comes out differently. It's an easy-to-learn but surprisingly deep set-collection and sequence-building game for the whole family.

Hobbli's Notes

Fans of Point Salad will feel right at home here, with the added sequence-building layer giving Point Galaxy a bit more spatial puzzle than its predecessors while staying just as approachable.

What we like

  • Over 140 unique cards ensure high variability between plays.
  • Simple two-card draft each turn keeps the pace brisk.
  • Combines sequence-building, set collection, and objectives for varied strategy.
  • Fully supports solo play alongside up to five players.

Keep in mind

  • Market luck can occasionally limit available strategic options.
  • Light overall weight may not satisfy heavier strategy gamers.
  • Card-based sequence building can feel similar to its Point Salad siblings.

Who it's for

Great for families and light-strategy fans, ages 10 and up, in groups of one to five looking for a quick, replayable card-drafting game.
