About the game

From the creators of Point Salad, Point City is a card-drafting, engine-building game where 1-4 players construct a unique city from over 150 building cards. Take two adjacent cards from the city grid, use resources and bonuses to unlock combinations, and build special civic structures that multiply your points. Its simple 'draft and build' core is easy to learn but offers surprising depth as your engine grows. It plays quickly at around 30 minutes, making it a great light strategy filler.

Hobbli's Notes

Point City takes the addictive simplicity of Point Salad and layers on satisfying engine-building, and the combo works beautifully. It's quick to teach but has real 'ooh, that combo!' moments once your city engine gets rolling. A great choice for groups who like light-to-medium card games with a building theme.

What we like

  • Simple, easy-to-teach drafting core with surprising depth.
  • Fast 30-minute playtime suits many occasions.
  • Huge card variety (150+) supports high replayability.
  • Solid solo mode alongside multiplayer.

Keep in mind

  • Set collection scoring can feel abstract to newer gamers.
  • Similarity to Point Salad may make it feel familiar to owners of that game.
  • Limited direct player interaction beyond drafting competition.

Who it's for

Good for families and casual gamers (10+) in groups of 1-4 who enjoy quick drafting and set-collection games.
