About the game

Pergola invites you to cultivate a beautiful garden, growing plants and attracting insects and small animals over fifteen quick rounds. Choose from four available tools each turn, gather the items presented, and arrange them thoughtfully in your growing garden space. The freedom in how you arrange your plants means every player's garden looks - and scores - completely differently by the end. With tile placement, set collection, and end-game bonuses, Pergola offers a relaxing but puzzle-rich experience. A lovely solo mode is included for quiet solo gardening sessions.

Hobbli's Notes

Pergola offers a soothing, nature-themed puzzle that should appeal to fans of tableau and tile-arrangement games. The freedom to arrange your garden however you like gives it a nice creative, low-conflict feel. As a very recent release, it hasn't had much time to prove its staying power, so expect some uncertainty around long-term replayability. Still, the elegant, calming presentation makes it an easy game to bring to a relaxed table.

What we like

  • Relaxing, low-conflict puzzle gameplay.
  • High creative freedom in garden arrangement.
  • Solo mode offers flexible play options.
  • Attractive nature theme with satisfying end-game scoring.

Keep in mind

  • As a brand-new release, long-term replayability is unproven.
  • Low player interaction may not suit competitive groups.
  • Scoring variety may take a few plays to fully appreciate.

Who it's for

Well suited to casual and family gamers aged 8+ who enjoy relaxed, low-conflict tile-placement and set-collection puzzles, playing solo or with up to 4.
