About the game
Unmatched: Steel and Silver brings The Witcher into the acclaimed Unmatched fighting system, letting two players duel with Geralt of Rivia, Ciri, or the Ancient Leshen. Each hero has a unique deck and companion tokens that capture their signature abilities and combat style. Movement and card-based combat resolution replace dice, so battles reward tactical positioning and hand management rather than luck. The set includes two Witcher-themed battle maps, including the stronghold of Kaer Morhen, and games run about 40 minutes.
Hobbli's Notes
Unmatched has built a great reputation for asymmetric, no-luck combat, and this Witcher set is a faithful, well-realized addition to the line for fans of the series. Geralt, Ciri, and the Leshen each play very differently, which keeps head-to-head matches feeling fresh. The 40-minute playtime makes it easy to fit in a couple of rounds during any game night. If you already own other Unmatched sets, the characters mix freely for even more matchup variety.
What we like
- Highly asymmetric characters with distinct playstyles.
- No-luck tactical combat rewards skill.
- Fast 40-minute playtime.
- Faithful Witcher theming with beloved characters.
Keep in mind
- Full variety requires owning other Unmatched sets.
- Only supports two to three players out of the box.
- Some character matchups may feel unbalanced without experience.
Who it's for
Great for two-player game nights and fans of The Witcher or tactical dueling games, ages 9 and up.
