About the game
Cascadia: Rolling Hills is a flip-and-roll-and-write spinoff of the acclaimed Cascadia, focusing on the prairie environments of the Pacific Northwest. Players simultaneously roll dice, collect wildlife tokens, and complete habitat cards to fill in their personal environment sheet, using special actions to manipulate dice and dynamic completion cards to chain together powerful combos. A central special die changes how each round unfolds, adding variability across plays, while advanced completion cards introduce new scoring bonuses and competitive objectives for experienced players. Designed to pair with its companion release, it lets 1 to 4 players (or more when combined with the other version) build harmonious ecosystems in a quick 30-minute session. Beth Sobel's artwork carries over the beloved visual style of the original Cascadia.
Hobbli's Notes
Cascadia: Rolling Hills translates the beloved habitat-building puzzle of Cascadia into a fast, satisfying roll-and-write format without losing the series' signature charm. The simultaneous-play design keeps downtime essentially nonexistent, making it a great pick for groups who dislike waiting between turns. Combining it with the companion Rolling version unlocks even more maps and player counts, adding excellent value for series fans. A must-try for anyone who already loves Cascadia and wants a quicker, more portable version of that puzzle experience.
