About the game
Kinfire Delve: Scorn's Stockade is a tactical cooperative card game for 1-2 players fighting their way through a well of challenge cards to face Scorn, the Master of the Well, in a final showdown. Players may only play skill cards matching the color of the active challenge, using wild white cards and dual-color cards to bridge gaps in their hand. Defeating challenges grants rewards, but failing costs progress and can trigger exhaustion. A shared health pool means every fight is a joint effort against the encroaching Well.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli likes how tightly designed this card-battler feels, with color-matching creating meaningful hand-management puzzles each turn. It's an especially strong choice for solo play or a two-player duo looking for a focused, atmospheric challenge. The shared health pool raises the stakes of every mistake, which some players will relish and others may find punishing. As a smaller, newer release, exact genre comparisons carry some uncertainty.
What we like
- Tight cooperative card battler with low downtime (downtime grade B).
- Works equally well solo or as a two-player experience.
- Escalating tension as challenge cards are defeated one by one.
- Atmospheric horror-fantasy theme throughout.
Keep in mind
- Capped at 1-2 players, limiting group use.
- Color-matching requirement can feel restrictive with an unlucky hand.
- Shared health pool can create swingy, punishing losses.
Who it's for
Great for cooperative card-game fans aged 14+ playing solo or as a pair looking for a tight tactical challenge.
