About the game
Aqua sends 1-4 players diving into ocean ecosystem-building, expanding coral reefs from a central hot spot to attract small marine life and, eventually, the largest sea creatures. Over 17 rounds, players draft coral tiles and arrange them into biodiverse patterns that unlock new animal attractions. The puzzle-like tile placement rewards careful pattern planning, similar to other habitat-building games. Its ocean theme and elegant artwork make it an inviting, family-friendly strategy title.
Hobbli's Notes
Aqua channels the same satisfying pattern-building puzzle feel that made habitat-building games popular in recent years, wrapped in gorgeous underwater artwork. The variable setup and drafting keep replays interesting without adding much rules overhead. It's approachable for families but still has enough depth to satisfy light strategy gamers. A lovely choice for anyone drawn to nature and ecosystem themes.
What we like

- Accessible tile-placement puzzle suitable for the whole family.
- Solo mode adds flexibility for individual play.
- Variable setup keeps replays fresh.
Keep in mind
- Relatively low player interaction compared to other strategy games.
