About the game

Clank! Legacy 2 sends 2-4 players back into the dungeon-crawling, deck-and-bag-building world of Clank!, this time woven into an ongoing legacy campaign set in Acquisitions Incorporated. Players sneak, fight, and push their luck to grab treasure while alerting a slumbering dragon with every noisy move. Choices made across sessions permanently reshape the deck, board, and story from game to game. It blends cooperative and competitive elements as the party works together against the dungeon while still racing each other for loot.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team loves how the Clank! Legacy format keeps a great push-your-luck deckbuilder feeling fresh session after session. Darkest Magic layers in new twists on the formula without overcomplicating the base game's approachable rules. It's a big commitment to open the box, but the payoff in memorable campaign moments is worth it for the right group. We especially appreciate how it balances cooperation and competition without either overwhelming the other.

What we like

  • Legacy campaign structure creates memorable, evolving stories.
  • Deck and bag building push-your-luck gameplay is tense and engaging.
  • Blends cooperative teamwork with competitive scoring.
  • High-quality components and thematic Acquisitions Incorporated setting.

Keep in mind

  • Legacy format means components get permanently altered, limiting replay after completion.
  • Long campaign commitment isn't ideal for casual or one-off play.
  • Complexity may overwhelm players new to deckbuilders.

Who it's for

Best for a dedicated group of 2-4 gaming friends or family (ages 10+) willing to commit to a multi-session legacy campaign; fans of deckbuilders and dungeon crawlers will feel right at home.
