About the game
Coffee Rush puts players behind the counter of a busy coffee shop, racing to fulfill customer orders and become the top-rated barista. Players move around a shared ingredient board to collect what they need, then use those ingredients to complete order cards for rating boosts: while unfulfilled orders turn into rating-damaging penalties. Completing three orders unlocks an upgrade that makes gathering ingredients easier going forward. The game ends when the order deck runs dry or a barista collects their fifth penalty, with the highest rating declared the winner.
Hobbli's Notes
Coffee Rush is a light, breezy game about the simple satisfaction of keeping up with a rush of orders. The upgrade-after-three-orders structure gives a nice little engine-building feel within a short playtime. It's an easy, approachable pick-up-and-play for casual groups, though the source data here left us less certain about how it stacks up against similar titles.
