About the game
Dungeon Fighter: Second Edition revitalizes the classic dexterity dungeon crawler with streamlined rules, new boards, dice, heroes, and monsters. Players cooperatively delve into a dungeon, flicking or throwing dice at a target board to land attacks on rooms full of weird monsters. New Dungeon cards replace fixed maps, letting the party choose their path each round. It's a loud, physical, laugh-out-loud co-op that rewards a steady hand as much as good teamwork.
Hobbli's Notes
This is pure chaotic fun rather than a deep strategy game, and it's better for it. The dice-throwing gimmick never gets old at the table and it plays great with a mixed group of adults and kids. Just clear the table first.
What we like
- The dexterity dice-throwing mechanic is genuinely fun and keeps every turn active.
- Fully cooperative play makes it a great choice for mixed-age groups.
- Variable heroes, weapons, and monsters give it solid replay value.
- Streamlined second-edition rules make it easy to teach quickly.
- It has a strong solo mode for a lighter dexterity title.
Keep in mind
- The luck-heavy dice throwing can frustrate players who prefer strategic control.
- It needs table space and can get rowdy in quieter settings.
- Not much depth for gamers seeking a serious tactical challenge.
Who it's for
Families and casual groups with kids 8 and up who enjoy silly, physical games; best with around 3 players but scales to 6.
