About the game
Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game reimagines the familiar Zombicide system with a twist: you play as infected Marvel superheroes overtaken by a ravenous hunger. Using the same accessible action-point and dice-driven core as mainline Zombicide, 1-6 players cooperate through mission-based scenarios, feasting on enemies to satisfy objectives and survive the outbreak. It's a fully standalone entry, so no other Zombicide box is required to play. Familiar comic-book faces turned zombie give it a darkly fun spin on a proven cooperative miniatures formula.
Hobbli's Notes
Fans of Zombicide will feel instantly at home here, and turning beloved Marvel heroes into the shambling threat is a genuinely fun subversion of the license. The action-point system keeps turns snappy even with a full table of players. It leans hard on dice-based combat resolution, so expect some swingy moments typical of the genre.
What we like
- Familiar, accessible Zombicide ruleset applied to a fresh Marvel setting.
- Cooperative miniatures combat with strong table presence.
- Fully standalone with a solid solo mode.
- Mission-based structure adds a sense of campaign progression.
Keep in mind
- Dice-based combat resolution can feel swingy at times.
- As a standalone spin-off, it may see less long-term expansion support than mainline Zombicide.
- Miniature assembly and storage add overhead typical of the genre.
Who it's for
Great for cooperative miniatures game fans aged 14+ who enjoy Marvel and zombie themes; scales from solo up to six players.
