About the game
Wonder Book is a cooperative campaign game played through an interactive 3D pop-up book, in which 1 to 4 players take on the roles of teenage friends exploring the dragon-built world of Oniria. Across six story-driven chapters, players reveal cards to progress the narrative, take three actions per turn to move, fight, and use special abilities, then face enemy responses driven by a Wyrm card. Each chapter unlocks new pop-up locations and new challenges, from boss fights to riddles and mini-games. The physical pop-up presentation makes exploring each new chapter feel like unwrapping a storybook.
Hobbli's Notes
The pop-up book format is a genuine showstopper at the table: turning pages to reveal new 3D locations adds real magic to a cooperative campaign game. It's best enjoyed as a story to savor over several sessions rather than a game you'll replay many times.
What we like
- Gorgeous interactive 3D pop-up book presentation.
- Engaging six-chapter narrative campaign with varied objectives.
- Works equally well solo or as a full cooperative group.
- Easy-to-grasp core actions keep each turn quick despite variety.
Keep in mind
- Campaign structure limits replayability once the story is finished.
- Moderate complexity and evolving rules may need patience for younger players.
- Delicate pop-up components require careful handling and storage.
Who it's for
Great for families and casual co-op gamers aged 10 and up, playing solo or in groups of up to 4.
