About the game
ALIEN: Fate of the Nostromo casts players as the doomed crew of the Nostromo, gathering scrap, crafting items, and completing objectives while the Alien stalks the ship's corridors. Each round alternates between a Crew Action phase, where players sneak through the ship trading resources and using unique character abilities, and an Encounter phase that draws thematic events and threats. If crew morale hits zero, everyone loses together, and reaching the final mission requires the whole crew to fulfill its requirements simultaneously. An optional Ash character adds a tougher, more treacherous mode for experienced players.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a tense, atmospheric cooperative game that captures the claustrophobic dread of the Alien films surprisingly well for a relatively light ruleset. The character-specific abilities give the crew genuine reasons to coordinate rather than just acting independently. The optional Ash variant is a great way to ramp up difficulty once the base game feels too comfortable. A strong pick for fans of the license who want real tension at the table.
