About the game

It's a Wonderful Kingdom is a standalone solo or two-player low-fantasy game inspired by the mechanics of It's a Wonderful World, adding new bluffing and interactive elements. Players use a split and trap card-offering system, choosing whether to divide cards between two zones or bluff their opponent with hidden trap tokens. Across four rounds, players plan builds, allocate resources, and produce their kingdom's goods in a fixed sequential order. The player with the most victory points after the fourth round wins.

Hobbli's Notes

This is a clever, compact reworking of the It's a Wonderful World engine into a tighter two-player or solo format, adding a welcome bluffing layer. The modular structure lets players mix and match different mechanical modules for variety across plays. It's approachable enough for a quick session while retaining meaningful strategic planning. A great pick for fans of the original looking for a leaner two-player experience.

What we like

  • Compact 45-minute playtime.

Keep in mind

  • Limited to solo or two-player only.
