About the game
In New York Zoo, players construct their own animal park by puzzling enclosure tiles into their growing zoo and introducing new animals that raise offspring over time. Each turn offers only two options: puzzle in a new enclosure tile or gain new animals, but timing your actions well is key to maximizing breeding opportunities.
Hobbli's Notes
A classic light Uwe Rosenberg puzzle design. The deceptively simple two-option turn structure hides a genuinely tight tile-placement puzzle that families will enjoy.
What we like
- Simple two-option turn structure.
- Satisfying tile-placement puzzle.
- Quick 60-minute playtime.
- Charming animal theme that scales well from 1 to 5 players.
Keep in mind
- Limited direct player interaction.
- Can feel repetitive after many plays.
- Timing animal breeding can be fiddly to track.
Who it's for
Fans of light tile-placement puzzles and animal themes, ages 10 and up, in groups of 1 to 5, great for families.
