About the game

Sheriff of Nottingham: 2nd Edition pits merchants against a rotating Sheriff who inspects bags of goods entering Nottingham's marketplace. Merchants declare what's in their bags, but bluffing about hidden contraband can lead to bigger profits if the Sheriff doesn't look too closely. The Sheriff, meanwhile, must weigh the risk of a bribe against the penalty of accusing an honest merchant. This edition supports up to six players and adds new expansions including a sixth merchant, Black Market goods, and Sheriff's Deputies. It's a hilarious, tense game of negotiation, bluffing, and smuggling.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team considers Sheriff of Nottingham a party-game gold standard for bluffing and negotiation. The back-and-forth haggling over bag contents creates constant table laughter and genuine suspense. It scales beautifully up to six players, making it a great pick for larger gatherings. A must-have for groups who love social deduction with a mischievous edge.
