About the game
Andor: The Family Fantasy Game (a.k.a. Andor Junior) invites players to choose from four heroes, magician, warrior, archer, or dwarf, to rescue lost wolf cubs before a sly dragon reaches the castle. Along the way, heroes must complete tasks for the bridge guard, unlocking passage to the dwarven mines where the cubs are hiding. Fully cooperative and dice-driven, it plays similarly to Legends of Andor but with content tailored for younger players. Each session presents new challenges, keeping the race against the dragon fresh every time.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team loves this as an entry point into the acclaimed Legends of Andor series, offering the same cooperative tension in a friendlier, family-ready package. The clear win/loss race against the dragon keeps young players engaged and invested. It's one of our favorite recommendations for families wanting a real cooperative adventure game.
What we like
- Fully cooperative design encourages teamwork between kids and adults.
- Approachable rules make it a great entry point to the Andor series.
- Variable challenges keep replays feeling fresh.
- Engaging dragon-race tension appropriate for younger players.
Keep in mind
- Cooperative format lacks direct competitive interaction some families want.
- Simplified compared to core Legends of Andor for older fans.
- Limited to four players maximum.
Who it's for
