About the game
Tenpenny Parks is a worker-placement and polyomino tile game where players build competing theme parks over five months of racing to attract the most visitors. Assign workers to purchase attractions from a rotating carousel market, clear land, and manage finances, then place your acquisitions carefully around trees and existing structures. Racing up emotion tracks earns bonus workers, cash, or turn order for the following round. The player with the most Visiting People points from attractions, goals, and bonuses wins Fairview's Golden Key.
Hobbli's Notes
We love the rotating carousel pricing mechanic: it creates a fun tension between grabbing what you want now versus waiting for a better price. The tile-placement puzzle of fitting attractions around trees adds a lovely extra layer of decision-making. A great mid-weight euro with real charm and polish.
What we like
- Clever rotating market pricing mechanic.
- Satisfying polyomino tile-placement puzzle.
- Solid solo mode included.
- Charming theme with attractive art.
Keep in mind
- Moderate complexity may need a full rules read-through.
- Five-round structure can feel tight if you fall behind early.
