About the game

Welcome to New Las Vegas is a card-based roll-and-write where players build a personal casino strip using two sheets: one for the map and one for scoring and objectives. Each turn, cards flip from three piles to create number-and-action combos that all players choose from simultaneously, using the number to fill in casinos, hotels, golf courses, and more along their street. Because everyone plays at once regardless of turn order, the game supports large groups without slowing down. A mix of public objectives keeps every game's optimal path different.

Hobbli's Notes

This 'dice-without-dice' card-flip system is a smart way to keep a roll-and-write feeling fresh, and the fully simultaneous play means it scales unusually well to bigger tables. It's an easy, low-friction pick for a mixed group that still wants meaningful choices each turn.

What we like

  • Clever card-flip 'dice-without-dice' mechanic keeps outcomes varied.
  • Fully simultaneous play supports large groups with minimal downtime.
  • Multiple public objectives keep replays feeling different.
  • Playful Vegas theme with lots of parallel activities to pursue.

Keep in mind

  • Some waiting between rounds even with simultaneous actions.
  • Requires reading and numeracy that may not suit very young children.
  • Fans of the original Welcome To may find the core formula familiar.

Who it's for

Good for families and casual gamers aged 10 and up, supporting large groups thanks to simultaneous play.
