About the game
Container puts 3-5 players in charge of shipping empires, building factories and warehouses, producing goods, and trading containers in a completely player-driven open market. There's no central bank setting prices: supply and demand between players determines everything, so watching (and manipulating) the market is as important as production. This 10th Anniversary Jumbo Edition supersizes the experience with oversized ships and containers, plus a new Investment Bank add-on that introduces a profit-seeking automated broker. It's a cutthroat, purely economic design with almost no luck involved.
Hobbli's Notes
Container is one of the purest economic games out there: with no dice and no randomness, every swing in fortune comes from player decisions and market timing. That makes it thrilling for economic-minded gamers but genuinely brutal if the market turns against you late in the game. The jumbo components in this edition are a fun tactile upgrade, though the high downtime at higher player counts means it's best for a patient, engaged table.
