About the game
Flatline is a cooperative real-time dice game set in the Fuse universe, tasking one to five players with treating a stream of arriving patients before a one-minute timer runs out. Players roll dice and race to combine them with teammates' dice to meet the specific treatment requirements of each patient, all while handling additional emergencies popping up around the ER. The frantic pace and constant communication under time pressure define the experience round after round. It also includes a small card expansion that can be used with the base Fuse game.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team loves this as a high-energy filler - the one-minute timer keeps tension high without demanding a long time commitment. It scales impressively well from solo play up to five players without losing its frantic charm. If your group enjoys shouting numbers at each other under pressure, this delivers reliably.
What we like
- One-minute real-time rounds create constant, replayable tension.
- Scales smoothly from solo play to a full five-player table.
- Simple dice-combining core is easy to teach in minutes.
- Compatible with the base Fuse game for added variety.
Keep in mind
- Time pressure and shouting-heavy play won't suit every group.
- Limited long-term strategic depth beyond the real-time puzzle.
- Can feel stressful rather than fun for players who dislike time limits.
Who it's for
Groups who enjoy fast, frantic real-time cooperative games; works well from solo play up to five players, ages 10 and up.
