About the game

Star Wars: Destiny is a collectible dice-and-card dueling game spanning heroes and villains from across the entire Star Wars saga. Two players build thirty-card decks around chosen characters, then activate custom dice, play events and upgrades, and battle to eliminate the opponent's characters first. Faction-driven deckbuilding lets you mix eras and sides, teaming up unlikely allies against equally unlikely foes. It's a fast-paced duel that layers dice-based combat resolution over deep hand management.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team remembers Star Wars: Destiny fondly as a clever hybrid of dice game and deckbuilder, with real strategic depth in how you build and sequence your dice pool. Since the game line has been discontinued, though, ongoing support and new content are no longer coming, which is worth knowing before investing. The collectible format also means completing a competitive collection took real financial commitment during its active years. For fans who already own product or can find it secondhand, the core dueling experience still holds up well.

What we like

  • Unique blend of dice-based combat and strategic deckbuilding.
  • Wide roster of iconic Star Wars heroes and villains to mix and match.
  • Fast-paced thirty-minute head-to-head duels.
  • Deep competitive scene existed during its active support years.

Keep in mind

  • Collectible dice-and-card model meant ongoing purchase costs.
  • The game line has been discontinued, limiting future support.
  • Dice rolls can swing close matches unpredictably.

Who it's for

Best for teens and adults (10+) who enjoy dice-driven deckbuilding duels, playing head-to-head as a pair.
