About the game

Archaeology: The New Expedition sends players digging through Egyptian ruins to collect treasure cards, race through a hidden monument, and outmaneuver sandstorms and thieves. Each turn you draw from the deck hoping for treasure rather than trouble, then choose to explore chambers, trade at the marketplace, or sell sets to the museum for the highest payout. Six different monuments and new tent cards add variety compared to the original Archaeology: The Card Game. Designed by Phil Walker-Harding, it's a light, family-friendly push-your-luck set-collection game.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team finds this remake a smart refinement: the added monument variety and tent protection against sandstorms fix some of the swinginess of the original. It's fast, easy to teach, and has just enough push-your-luck tension to stay exciting round after round. A great pick for family game nights that want something light but not mindless.
