About the game

Ascension: Dreamscape is the ninth standalone entry in the popular Ascension deck-building series, in which players spend Runes to acquire increasingly powerful cards and earn Honor Points by defeating monsters. This installment introduces the Insight resource, letting players unlock exclusive Dream cards, plus a special Dreamscape area granting access to potent Vision cards, Heroes, and Constructs. As in the series' core formula, players continuously refine their deck through drafting and hand management to build the most efficient engine. It plays in about an hour and can be combined with other Ascension sets for games of up to six players.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team appreciates how Dreamscape keeps the addictive core loop of Ascension intact while layering in the fresh Insight resource for longtime fans. The deck-building drafting formula remains as compelling as ever, offering satisfying engine-building without excessive rules overhead. Its compatibility with other Ascension sets is a real strength, letting collectors keep expanding their card pool. Newcomers to the series may want to start with the base game, but fans of the franchise will find plenty new to enjoy here.
