About the game

In Quadropolis, players compete to build the best metropolis over four rounds by drafting tiles for shops, parks, public services, factories, and more. Each of a player's four numbered architects claims a tile a set distance into a row or column of the shared city grid, and once placed, that architect blocks rivals from using the same row or column for the rest of the round. Tiles are then arranged on a personal 4x4 city board, with resources like inhabitants and energy needed to activate buildings for scoring. At game end, each building type scores in its own way, from tallest residential towers to best-connected harbors. It's an approachable tile-drafting city-builder with a clever spatial-blocking twist.

Hobbli's Notes

Quadropolis nails that satisfying tension of drafting games: watching the board shrink as architects get placed creates real anticipation each round. The variety of scoring paths across six building types keeps strategies from feeling identical game to game. It's light enough to teach to families but has enough spatial puzzle-solving to keep more experienced gamers engaged too. A dependable pick for city-building fans looking for something more interactive than a solo puzzle.
