About the game
Epic Card Game recreates the feel of a trading card game in a single non-collectible box, casting players as elder gods commanding champions and events in combat against rivals. Every box contains the same 120 cards, so there's no need for booster packs or extra purchases to build a competitive deck. Turns are fast: draw five cards to start, gain one gold each round, and choose which affordable card to play. With sealed, preconstructed, and draft formats built in, it scales from quick duels to larger multiplayer battles.
Hobbli's Notes
Epic delivers surprisingly deep, TCG-style strategy without the collectible-card expense, which is its biggest draw. The gold-per-turn economy keeps games brisk and tactical rather than bogged down in resource management. Player elimination and take-that elements add real bite to multiplayer games. It's a great entry point for players curious about deckbuilding-style card combat who don't want an ongoing collection habit.
What we like
- Non-collectible design offers full TCG strategy without extra purchases.
- Fast turns keep the pace brisk and tactical.
- Multiple formats support draft, sealed, and constructed play.
- Player elimination and take-that add a sharp competitive edge.
Keep in mind
- Player elimination can leave some players out before the game ends.
- The fantasy theme is fairly generic and thin on story.
- The best experience scales further only if players own extra boxes for larger groups.
Who it's for
Great for card-game and TCG fans aged 13+ looking for fast, competitive fantasy combat for 2-4 players.
