About the game
Space Hulk (Fourth Edition) recreates the desperate battle between Space Marines and Genestealers within the cramped, derelict corridors of a massive space hulk. One player commands elite Terminator squads on tense, mission-based objectives, while the other unleashes swarms of alien Genestealers from the shadows. Action points, dice-based combat, and modular tile boards make every mission feel claustrophobic and unpredictable. This edition adds new missions, boarding torpedoes, and multi-level turbo-lift tiles.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli considers this a genre-defining tactical dungeon crawl: few games nail tension and asymmetric horror-combat as well as Space Hulk, and this edition's extra content only sweetens an already excellent design.
What we like
- Tense, atmospheric asymmetric tactical combat.
- Iconic Games Workshop miniatures and Warhammer 40K setting.
- Modular missions and boards add strong replay value.
- Well-regarded campaign content across multiple mini-campaigns.
Keep in mind
- Strictly a two-player experience.
- Expectation of miniature assembly may deter some buyers.
- Out-of-print status can make copies harder to find.
Who it's for
Great for two-player tactical and sci-fi wargame fans aged 12+ who enjoy tense, mission-based asymmetric combat with miniatures.
