About the game
Power Grid Deluxe: Europe/North America is a standalone deluxe edition of the classic economic game, featuring a huge double-sided board covering both continents. Players bid against each other to acquire power plants, then race to secure the cheapest routes connecting cities across their growing networks. As newer, more efficient plants become available with each purchase, players must balance greed against giving opponents an edge. Resource scarcity for coal, oil, gas, and uranium adds another layer of tension to the auctions. Designed by Friedemann Friese, its catch-the-leader scoring keeps the game close until the very end.
Hobbli's Notes
A timeless economic design where the auctions never stop being tense, even after dozens of plays. The catch-the-leader mechanism does a fantastic job of keeping every player in contention until the final round.
