About the game
Good Cop Bad Cop is a fast, 52-card hidden-identity game where every player takes on the role of a law enforcement officer in a thoroughly corrupt police department. Through investigation, memory, and careful bluffing, players try to figure out who shares their allegiance before grabbing one of the few guns on the table. The tension builds as alliances form and shift, culminating in a race to identify and shoot the opposing leader before they do the same to you. With a 20-minute playtime and support for up to eight players, it's built for quick, high-stakes rounds of deduction and betrayal.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a snappy, tension-filled hidden-role game that packs a lot of bluffing and deduction into a short 20-minute round. The hunt for guns and the race to identify the opposing leader creates a genuinely exciting climax every game. It's a great choice for a party group that already enjoys social deduction classics and wants something with a bit more bite.
What we like
- Quick 20-minute playtime allows for many rounds in one session.
- Hidden-role bluffing creates constant social tension.
- Scales well for larger party groups of up to eight players.
- Exciting climax as players race to find and eliminate the opposing leader.
Keep in mind
- Player elimination can leave some players out before the round ends.
- Requires a talkative, engaged group to really shine.
- Random role assignment can occasionally create imbalanced games.
