About the game
Escape Plan casts players as thieves after a bank heist, racing across a modular city board to recover hidden cash while evading a police lockdown. Players can hire gangs, bribe police, use disguises, and manipulate the cops' movements each turn, all while pursuing individual asymmetric missions. Designed by Vital Lacerda, it blends tile placement, drafting, and variable player powers into a heist-themed race for the most cash. With a hefty 120-minute playtime, it delivers the tension and double-crossing of a classic heist film.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team enjoys how Escape Plan captures heist-movie tension through its unique mechanic of players influencing the cops' movements. Vital Lacerda's design brings a satisfying puzzle-like complexity to route-planning and resource management. The individual missions and modular board keep replays feeling fresh. It's a heavier game that rewards players who enjoy deep tactical planning under pressure.
