About the game

Cube Quest is a dexterity game where players flick lightweight hollow cubes across custom rubber mats, trying to knock enemy cubes off the field or capture them in enemy territory. Cubes that land 'shadow' side up are captured and must be rolled to see if they escape, while different cube types offer special abilities like extra flicks, immobilizing enemies, or hiding for repositioning. Before battle, players build a custom army worth up to 40 points and arrange their formation strategically. The game ends when someone defeats the enemy king.

Hobbli's Notes

A fun, physical dexterity game with just enough army-building strategy to give the flicking real stakes. It's fast, silly, and a great change of pace from heavier games, though matches can hinge as much on a lucky flick as on planning.

What we like

  • Fast, physical dexterity gameplay.
  • Easy to teach to kids and families.
  • Custom army building adds a light strategic layer.
  • Short 20-minute playtime.

Keep in mind

  • Physical skill can create uneven matches.
  • Limited depth for experienced strategy gamers.
  • Small components require a careful, clear play space.

Who it's for
