About the game
PitchCar is a dexterity racing game where players construct a modular wooden race track and then flick small pucks around it like miniature race cars. Track pieces can be arranged into countless configurations, from simple ovals to elaborate loops and crossroads with expansions. Two to eight players compete to be the first around the finish line using nothing but finger-flicks and steady aim. It's a physical, tactile alternative to typical board game racing.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli sees PitchCar as one of the best pure dexterity games for mixed-age groups. It's loud, competitive fun that gets everyone leaning over the table, and the modular track means no two races feel the same.
What we like
- Modular track pieces allow near-endless race layout variety.
- Very easy to learn, appealing to all ages.
- Scales well for large groups of up to eight players.
- Physically engaging in a way few board games match.
Keep in mind
- Requires significant table or floor space to build tracks.
- Larger groups can create longer downtime between turns.
- Getting the most variety requires purchasing additional expansions.
Who it's for
Families with kids six and up, and dexterity-game fans looking for lively group fun, will enjoy this for two to eight players.
