About the game
Exodus: Proxima Centauri casts six human factions into an epic empire-building struggle after their Centaurian benefactors abandon the system. Players build customized space fleets, conquer planets, research alien technology, and battle both the departing Centaurian Resistance and each other in a sprawling 4X experience. Blind bidding on political laws, hidden movement, and a full tech tree add layers of strategy on top of direct military conflict. It's an ambitious, combat-forward game that rewards aggressive expansion and careful diplomacy in equal measure.
Hobbli's Notes
This is a serious commitment for a serious 4X crowd: Exodus leans hard into combat and territorial conquest with a tech tree and political system dense enough to fill an entire evening. It's not for the faint of heart given the three-hour playtime and heavy downtime at higher counts, but for groups that love empire-building space opera, it delivers real scale and drama.
