About the game

The Red Dragon Inn 3 brings your battle-weary adventuring party back to the tavern to drink, gamble, and roughhouse after a long day of dungeon crawling. Each of the four new characters comes with a unique mechanic layered onto the core hand management and bluffing gameplay, from Wizgille's unpredictable gadgets to Brewmaster Phrenk's potent potions. Players try to be the last one standing with Gold left in hand, managing both their alcohol level and their coin purse as the party gets rowdier. It can be played on its own or combined with other Red Dragon Inn releases for games of up to twelve players.

Hobbli's Notes

The Red Dragon Inn series has carved out a comfortable niche as the go-to tavern-brawl party game, and the third installment keeps the formula fresh with genuinely inventive new characters. It's chaotic, funny, and thrives on table talk and needling your friends. Best enjoyed by a group that already loves the series or wants an easy entry point with strong replay value through mixed-and-matched characters.

What we like

  • Humorous character abilities and flavor text keep the table laughing.
  • Combines with other Red Dragon Inn sets for bigger games.
  • Distinct variable powers give each character real personality.
  • Great for casual, social groups who like table talk.

Keep in mind

  • Outcomes can lean heavily on luck of the draw.
  • Player elimination means knocked-out players wait for the game to end.
  • Best experience often requires owning multiple expansions.

Who it's for
