About the game
Battle Sheep is a quick abstract strategy game where 2-4 players build a modular hex board from identical tiles, then compete to claim the most territory with stacks of sheep discs. On your turn, you split off part of a stack and slide it as far as possible in a straight line, always leaving at least one behind. As the board fills up, movement options shrink, forcing tighter and tighter tactical decisions. The player controlling the most territory when no more moves remain wins.
Hobbli's Notes
Battle Sheep is a fantastic little abstract that teaches in under a minute but still demands real spatial reasoning as the board fills in. The modular tile setup means the playing field is different every time, keeping the puzzle fresh. Its cute sheep theme and quick playtime make it an easy sell to families and non-gamers alike. A great filler for closing out or opening a game night.
