About the game

MarraCash casts players as shop owners in a bustling Moroccan marketplace, buying color-coded shops as wooden tourist figures arrive at the market gate. Players then guide these visitors into their own shops to collect entrance fees, or into rival shops to claim a cut of the profits. Skillful auction bidding and careful placement of tourists drive the game's economic tension. Once all tourists have found a shop, the player with the largest bankroll wins the marketplace.

Hobbli's Notes

MarraCash blends auction-bidding with spatial placement in a way that keeps every turn meaningful, as buying the right shop at the right time can swing your income dramatically. The economic design sensibilities show in how tightly the auction and movement phases interact. It's an approachable, moderate-length economic game that rewards attentive bidding over flashy special powers. The Moroccan marketplace theme gives a simple but charming backdrop to the auction mechanics.
