About the game

Take Time is a cooperative game in which players win or lose together by strategically placing 12 cards facedown around a Clock. Following specific rules for each of 40 available Tests, the group must coordinate their placements to succeed, with limited communication between players. The campaign-style structure lets a group work through the full set of Tests over multiple sessions. It plays quickly, with each round taking about 30 minutes.

Hobbli's Notes

Based on its design, Take Time looks like a promising entry in the limited-communication cooperative puzzle space, in the spirit of games built around careful hinting and deduction. The large set of 40 Tests suggests solid longevity if the puzzle design holds up across the whole campaign. As a newer release, we don't yet have the benefit of extended community experience to confirm how it holds up over repeated plays.

What we like

  • Quick 30-minute sessions fit easily into a game night.
  • 40 Tests offer a long campaign arc to work through together.
  • Limited-communication puzzle design encourages careful teamwork.
  • Compact card-based format is easy to store and transport.

Keep in mind

  • As a new release, long-term replay value is still unproven.
  • Full campaign requires many sessions to see all the content.
  • Limited available data makes it hard to assess depth with full confidence.
