About the game

Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor is a standalone entry in the Forest Shuffle series, introducing a moorland habitat filled with new species and abilities. Players build a valuable environment by playing trees, shrubs, and the new horizontal Terrain cards, then attracting animals and plants that thrive around them. Since species can only be placed above or below terrain cards, careful planning is needed to keep your ecosystem balanced. Drafted caves grant each player an asymmetric starting condition, adding fresh variety to every game.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team is excited about Forest Shuffle: Dartmoor's new terrain-card layer, which adds a fresh spatial puzzle to the beloved card-drafting formula of the original Forest Shuffle. The reduced tree-symbol requirement makes bonuses easier to trigger, smoothing out some of the original's pacing. The nature theme and card art remain lovely and calming. As a brand-new 2025 release, we don't yet have extensive play history to draw on, so we're flagging this one for review.
