About the game
Circus Flohcati is a quick Reiner Knizia card game in which players collect flea-circus acts across ten colors, gambling on flips of the deck to grab more cards or risk getting nothing. A push-your-luck decision sits at the heart of every turn: take a visible card, or flip and risk matching an existing color. With only the highest card of each color scoring, tight fifteen-minute rounds reward smart risk management.
Hobbli's Notes
This is classic lean Knizia design: simple rules hiding a surprisingly sharp push-your-luck tension. We like that it plays in fifteen minutes but still has real decisions each turn, making it an easy addition to any game night's rotation. It shines as a filler that scales gracefully from two up to five players.
What we like
- Fifteen-minute playtime makes it a perfect filler.
- Simple push-your-luck rules are easy to teach.
- Scales well from two to five players.
- Designed by acclaimed designer Reiner Knizia.
Keep in mind
- Luck of the flip can outweigh strategy.
- Limited depth for dedicated strategy gamers.
- Scoring only the top card per color can feel harsh.
Who it's for
Ideal for families and casual groups aged 6 and up wanting a fast filler game between two and five players.
