About the game
Undaunted 2200: Callisto transplants the acclaimed Undaunted deck-building wargame system into a science-fiction setting, pitting corporate security forces against a mining collective on Jupiter's moon Callisto. Players build custom decks of unit cards, using hand management and drafting to maneuver mechs and repurposed mining vehicles across an illustrated lunar battlefield. As a standalone entry in the Undaunted series, it supports two-player, four-player, and solo play, with dice rolling adding tactical uncertainty to combat. Designed by Trevor Benjamin and David Thompson, it delivers roughly an hour of tense, card-driven tactical warfare.
Hobbli's Notes
The Undaunted series has consistently proven that deck-building and wargaming pair beautifully, and Callisto's sci-fi reskin is a clever way to freshen up the formula with mechs and lunar terrain. The solo and four-player team modes add welcome flexibility that earlier entries in the series lacked.
What we like
- Blends deck-building with tactical wargaming for approachable depth.
- Sci-fi mech setting freshens up the established Undaunted formula.
- Supports solo, two-player, and four-player team modes.
- Roughly hour-long playtime keeps sessions brisk.
Keep in mind
- Familiarity with the Undaunted system may reduce novelty for series fans.
- Card-driven combat can feel abstract to traditional miniatures wargamers.
- Four-player team mode requires more setup and coordination.
Who it's for
Great for wargamers and deck-building fans ages 14+ who want tactical combat with low setup time; plays as two-player, solo, or four-player teams.
