About the game
Unmatched: Brains and Brawn is the fifth and final Unmatched Marvel set, pitting Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, and She-Hulk against each other in fast, tactical card-driven duels. Each hero has a completely unique deck and special abilities, from Spidey's web-slinging mobility to Dr. Strange's mystical arts to She-Hulk's brute-force smashing. Matches are quick, tense, and highly tactical, decided by careful positioning, timing, and hand management rather than luck. Striking artwork from acclaimed illustrators rounds out this fan-favorite entry in the Unmatched line.
Hobbli's Notes
Another excellent entry in a consistently great series: easy to teach, quick to set up, and endlessly replayable thanks to the asymmetric hero decks. A great pickup for Marvel fans and tactical duelists alike.
What we like
- Distinct, asymmetric hero decks create very different play styles.
- Quick 40-minute matches with real tactical depth.
- High-quality miniatures and striking artwork.
- Easy to teach compared to many tactical combat games.
Keep in mind
- Best experience requires owning multiple Unmatched sets to mix heroes.
- Limited to three players at most in a single box.
- Some hero match-ups can feel imbalanced until players learn the meta.
