About the game

Wayfarers of the South Tigris sends one to four players out from Baghdad during the height of the Abbasid Caliphate to map the land, waterways, and heavens above. Managing a caravan of workers and equipment, players earn victory points by mapping territory, upgrading their caravans, gaining inspiration from nobles, and influencing the guilds of science, trade, and exploration. The game ends once a player's journal marker reaches the far end of the track, keeping the race feeling urgent. A solo mode is included for those who want to explore alone.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli appreciates the rich historical setting from the designers behind the North Sea trilogy, blending worker placement with satisfying tile-based exploration. The strong solo mode and moderate ninety-minute playtime make it an accessible but still meaty euro pick.
