About the game

Phantom Ink is a team-based deduction party game where two teams of Media try to guess a secret object chosen by their team's Spirit, who reveals answers to cryptic questions one letter at a time. Media pass question cards to their Spirit, who slowly writes out the answer while both teams race to shout "Silencio!" and guess the mystery word first. Incorrect guesses reveal partial information to opponents, adding a tense social deduction layer. A clever, tension-filled party game that rewards sharp wordplay and lateral thinking.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editors love the slow-reveal writing mechanic in Phantom Ink: watching a word emerge letter by letter creates real suspense at the table. It's a standout in the party deduction space thanks to its clever "steal the clue" tension between teams.

What we like

  • Easy to teach for a party game
  • Great for larger groups
